Bhubaneswar, Jan 11: The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Exhibition at Janata Maidan is open to the general public from today. People can visit the PBD exhibition till the evening of January 12.

People can watch the cultural programs and visit the stalls in various galleries, said Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida. Everyone should see this exhibition as many educational things from tourism to science are showcased there, suggested the Deputy Chief Minister.

Notably, the State government extended the exhibition period till January 12 considering the request of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Yesterday, Pradhan suggested to the State government to extend the PBD exhibition period for two to three days as people are eager to visit the expo.

The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention started on January 8 and concluded on January 10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally inaugurated the important event on January 9. President Draupadi Murmu graced the occasion on January 10 and delivered concluding remarks. The President conferred Pravasi Bharatiya Awards to 27 distinguished persons on the concluding day.
