"Prathamastami Bhara" Sent To Puri Srimandir From Niali's Madhaba Temple

On this auspicious occasion, the maternal uncle sends a bhara, comprising various food items and gift for their eldest niece/nephew.
The Prathamastami bhara includes items such as new clothes, coconut, jaggery, newly harvested rice, black gram, turmeric leaves, and more.
The focal culinary delight of Prathamastami is the 'Enduri Pitha.'
This year, Prathamastami is slated to be observed on December 5.
Prathamastami is celebrated in Puri Srimandir with old traditions, where holy trinity along with Lord Sudarshan will be adored in new dress which goes from Madhaba temple in Niali of Cuttack district.

✨As per rituals,today, a day before Prathamastami bhara from Niali 's Madhaba Peeth was dispatched for Srimandir in a huge procession carrying Khandua and other ritual materials.
Devotees of Lord Jagannath along with devotees and saints from the region will participate in the procession.
In the huge procession many serviotrs like, Bhoi sebaka, Mahuria, Paika Akhada, Ramatali, Sankirtan Dala, Behere Sebaka took part.
Pata, different kinds of fruit, newly harvested rice grains, blackgram, coconut, ghee, honey like food items are taken as bhara to Srimandir.
As per rituals, after Bhara reaches in Srimandir, Lord Jagannath along with siblings will wear new dress and after that 'Chheda Prasad Lagi' ritual will be performed.
