Puri, Aug 26: IPS officer Prateek Singh formally assumed the charge as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Puri district today.
On Monday, Singh visited the revered Jagannath Temple and took the blessings of the Lord Jagannath, symbolising his commitment to serve the spiritual and tourism-rich city with dedication.
Speaking to the media, the newly appointed SP emphasised that ensuring a safe and fulfilling experience for devotees and tourists visiting Puri will be his top priority.
Singh stressed the importance of seamless darshan arrangements and robust security measures in coordination with temple servitors and administration.
