Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: Odisha para shuttler and Padma Shri awardee, Pramod Bhagat, continued his brilliance on the court winning three gold medals at the prestigious HULIC DAIHATSU Japan Para Badminton International 2025, which took place in Tokyo from November 5 to 9.
Bhagat secured gold in three categories — Men’s Singles (SL3), Mixed Doubles (SL3–SU5), and Men’s Doubles (SL3–SL4) — reaffirming his status as one of the world’s finest para shuttlers.
In the Men’s Singles final, Bhagat displayed remarkable grit
and skill to defeat Japan’s Daisuke Fujihara in a thrilling three-set match,
with scores of 17–21, 21–19, 21–10.

Teaming up with Manisha Ramadass in Mixed Doubles, Bhagat clinched his second yellow metal by defeating fellow Indians Nitesh Kumar and Thulasimathi Murugesan in straight sets, 21–19, 21–19.

In Men’s Doubles, Bhagat partnered with Sukant Kadam to overcome Jagdish Delli and Naveen Shivkumar in a hard-fought contest, winning 21–17, 18–21, 21–16. The victory completed the Odisha sports icon’s hat-trick of gold.
