Bhubaneswar, Mar 8: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday expressed happiness over the disbursal of the second installment of Rs 5,000 to over 1 crore women under the Subhadra Scheme in Odisha.

Pradhan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for the disbursal of about Rs 5,000 crore in the second installment.

"On the occasion of International Women's Day, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, under the guidance of Prime Minister Nnarendra Modi, disbursed about Rs 5,000 crore in the second installment of the Subhadra scheme. Thanks to PM Modi and CM Majhi. More than 1 crore mothers and sisters of the state will benefit from this scheme. The double engine government will strengthen the resolve of women empowerment," Pradhan wrote on his 'X' handle.
