Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Dharmendra Pradhan targeted the previous BJD government over its "shrewd" steps to implement the National Education Policy in the State.
"Though the previous Odisha government had said to implement the NEP 2020 in principle, but the data was something different," said Pradhan. Pradhan said that the previous (BJD) government accepted the NEP only to gain the people's attention only.
He praised the Mohan Majhi government to decide to implement the NEP 2020 "The present Odisha government will implement the NEP. A steering committee has been constituted by NCERT. A SCF has been formed," said Pradhan.

✨Pradhan suggested that intellectuals and educationists of Odisha are paired with the 17-member steering committee.
"In the month of April, the National Education Policy for Children will be rolled out, he said. And in the months of May and June, we will go to 50,000 villages and find out the drop-out students. Ministers, MLAs and the Chief Minister will do this grand job and encourage drop-outs to rejoin schools and pursue studies," said Pradhan.
