Bhubaneswar, Dec 13: Senior BJP leader and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan heaved a sigh of relief over the safe rescue of a newborn baby from a deep borewell in Sambalpur on Tuesday.
Soon after the rescue of the newborn, Pradhan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, "The news of the safe rescue of the newborn baby from an abandoned borewell in Shriram Budha Jungle under the Rengali police station limits in Sambalpur district has relieved us all."
Pradhan too prayed to Maa Samaleswari, the presiding deity of Sambalpur, for the healthy and long life of the child.

✨It may be noted here that a newborn girl child was found in a 20-foot-deep borewell at the aforementioned place around noon yesterday. Local Fire service personnel, Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force personnel, and police made all attempts to safely rescue the newborn. After eight hours of effort, they managed to rescue the baby.
