Bhubaneswar, July 19: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday expressed deep sorrow and concern over a shocking incident that occurred in the Balanga area of Puri district in Odisha.
Taking to X, the Minister said, “I am saddened and pained by the unimaginable incident that took place in Balanga, Puri. The government is treating the matter with utmost seriousness and has pledged strict action against those responsible.”
Pradhan further said that the minor victim is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Extending his heartfelt prayers for her swift recovery, the Minister wrote, “May she heal quickly and return home soon-- my prayers to the Mahaparabhu Lord Jagannath.”
Notably, a 15-year-old girl was set ablaze by three unknown assailants at Balanga in Odisha’s Puri district this morning.
