Bhubaneswar, Aug 18: To address potato scarcity, the Odisha government is mulling to bring potato from Uttar Pradesh by two goods trains soon.
Food Supplies and Consumber Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra has informed about the government's plan.
"The State Government is planning to bring huge queantities of potato from Uttar Pradesh by trains. For this, talks have been initiated with Railways Minister Ashwini Viashnaw," Patra told reporters.

✨The Minister said the State government is making all efforts to resolve the potato crisis. After arrival of potato from UP by trains, the price will fall further, he said.
Earlier, truckloads of potato had been brought to State to meet the daily need. Now, potato is being sold between Rs 35 and Rs 40 in the State.
