Kendrapara, June 3: In another incident of post-poll violence, at least 10 people were reportedly injured after being attacked by BJD workers at Rajkanika in Kendrapara district yesterday.
The BJD workers went berserk and attacked supporters of Congress in front of the Rajkanika police station. They even chased and went on attacking the victims till Ashoka Bazaar in Rajkanika town. As many as 10 people belonging to the two groups were injured in the incident.
While all the injured people were first rushed to the Rajkanika Community Health Centre, five of them were later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack given their critical condition.

✨Meanwhile, locals expressed resentment that police didn't act promptly even as the incident occurred in front of the police station. After a minimum of three hours, two platoons of police force were deployed as tension escalated further, they alleged.
"The Rajkanika PS IIC has been acting as an agent of the BJD. He is protecting BJD workers," alleged former MLA Debendra Sharma.
