Poor Road Connectivity, Pregnant Woman Carried On Stretcher In Kandhamal

Baliguda, Sep 6: A pregnant woman was carried on a stretcher due to the absence of motorable roads and emergency transport. The incident was reported in Guduripadi village under Gunji Badi Panchayat.

According to reports, the woman identified as Nandini Pradhan complained of labour pain. With no ambulance able to reach the remote village and no proper road connectivity, local residents stepped in to help. They carried the victim on a stretcher through rugged terrain and across a river to ensure she could reach medical care.

This is not the first time such an incident has occurred in the region.
