Bhubaneswar, Mar 31: In a startling incident in Bharatpur's Bandurga Basti area in Bhubaneswar, police officers on duty to resolve a domestic dispute faced a violent attack.

The dispute arose over a property matter where the elder brother allegedly hired goons to assault his younger sibling. Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the scene only to encounter fierce resistance from local residents.

As police attempted to detain the main accused, tensions escalated into a physical scuffle between the mob and the officers. The chaos led to the police vehicle being completely vandalized with stone-pelting by the crowd.

Among the injured were a female ASI and the driver of the police vehicle. Following swift action, Bharatpur Police detained two individuals involved in the assault.

Investigations are underway, and efforts are being made to bring the situation under control and ensure justice prevails.
