Balasore, Jun 23: Nilgiri police successfully foiled a major criminal plot late last night during a raid at a college field in Balasore district.

Acting on a tip-off, Inspector-in-Charge Gobardhan Nayak led a surprise raid near Santaragadia College field, where a gang of criminals was allegedly planning a serious offense.

The gang was caught off guard by the sudden police action.
