Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Bhubaneswar last evening, will inaugurate the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention this morning.

PM Modi arrived at the Bhubaneswar airport at around 8 pm on Wednesday and spent the night at the Raj Bhavan. Party workers and common people welcomed him, chanting hula-huli and playing conch shells and traditional musical instruments. Thousands of people lined up on both sides of the road to welcome the Prime Minister.

This is PM Modi's fourth visit to Odisha since the BJP government was formed in the state on June 12. According to the schedule, Prime Minister Modi will arrive at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas venue at 9: 55 a.m. and formally inaugurate the event.

The Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas kickstarted yesterday in the presence of a large number of Indians residing outside. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and other Union Ministers attended the event yesterday.
