PM Modi Arrives In Bhubaneswar To Mark One-Year Completion Of Mohan Majhi Govt

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Odisha today to commemorate the first anniversary of the BJP-led state government under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

Bhubaneswar, June 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday arrived in Bhubaneswar to attend the state-level function at Janata Maidan here to commemorate the completion of one year of the first BJP government in Odisha led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.


Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other senior leaders welcomed PM Modi after his arrival at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar a little while ago.


The Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a roadshow and participate in a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ soon after his arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport this afternoon. The roadshow and ‘Tiranga Yatra’ will culminate at Janata Maidan, the venue of the Odisha government’s first-anniversary function.


As part of the celebrations, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs18,600 crore on the occasion. These span across sectors like drinking water, irrigation, health infrastructure, rural roads, and railways.


The Prime Minister is scheduled to flag off new train services extending rail connectivity to Boudh district in Odisha for the first time marking a historic moment for the district’s integration with the national railway network.

The Prime Minister will also flag off 100 electric buses under the Capital Region Urban Transport system.


PM Modi will also release the Odisha Vision Document which anchors around the landmark year of 2036, when Odisha completes 100 years as India’s first linguistic state.


The Prime Minister will launch the ‘Baraputra Aitihya Gram Yojana’ initiative on the occasion as a tribute to the contribution of eminent Odias. He will also felicitate women achievers under the Lakhpati Didi initiative at the event.


The Odisha Police have made massive security arrangements in the city in view of the visit of Prime Minister Modi.
