Ganjam, Aug 13: A college student of Digapahandi area in Ganjam district has gone missing under suspicious circumstances while on her way to appear for an exam.

The matter came to fore after the victim's family members filed an FIR with the local police.

According to reports, the victim, a student of Plus III second year, left home on her bicycle at around 11:30 AM to attend her college examination. However, she did not returned home. Following this, family members launched a frantic search but she remained untraceable.

Later, the victim's bicycle was found abandoned near a local junction. Fearing foul play, the family lodged a formal complaint at Digapahandi Police Station.

Acting on the complaint, a case was registered and a probe was initiated.

While it is yet to be ascertained whether the girl was abducted or left voluntarily, on the other hand, family members beleive that she was abducted.
