Eyewitnesses said a loud cracking sound before a section of the platform gave way, partially falling onto the railway line. It was immediately unknown whether any passengers were trapped beneath the rubble, as rescue teams from the railway department swiftly launched an operation to assess the damage and search for potential victims.
