Bhubaneswar, July 19: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das Friday appointed Senior Advocate of Orissa High Court as the Advocate General (AG) of Odisha. 

A notification issued by the Law Department of the Government of Odisha informed about the appointment of AG. 

"In pursuance of clause (1) of Article 165 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Odisha is pleased to appoint Sri Pitambar Acharya, Senior Advocate, High Court of Orissa to be the Advocate General for the State of Odishas with immediate effect," read the notification of the Law Department.
