Bhubaneswar, May 25: Odisha registered 35.69 percent voting by 1 pm in the third phase election being held for six parliamentary constituencies and 42 assembly seats under them today.
According to the Election Commission data, Sambalpur PC recorded highest 38.13% polling, followed by Puri 37.26%, Dhenkanal 36.00%, Keonjhar 35.63%, Cuttack 34.40% and Bhubaneswar 33.01% polling.
Notably, the voting started at 7 am and is scheduled to continue till 6 pm. About 94.41 lakh voters are enrolled to exercise their franchise at 10,551 boothys. Heavyweight BJP leaders like Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Aparajita Sarangi and Sambit Patra and BJD leader Pranab Prakash are fighting this phase of polls as MP candidates.
