Bhubaneswar, Mar 3: The State Government on Sunday announced a hike in pension for the construction workers affiliated with the 'Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board'.
According to the decision, such construction workers aged above 60 will get a monthly pension of Rs 1000 instead of Rs 500 they are getting now. Similarly, the workers aged above will get Rs 1200 per month instead of Rs 700.
The hike will be implemented retrospectively from February 2024, according to an official release from the Chief Minister's Office.
