Bhubaneswar, Apr 27: Tensions erupted at Biju Patnaik International Airport as passengers faced extended delays, leaving them stranded for more than 12 hours.

According to airport authorities, a total of eight flights landed safely. However, only six managed to take off. The remaining two flights were grounded, leaving passengers stranded.  

Sources indicate that a SpiceJet flight traveling from Delhi to Kolkata was diverted to Bhubaneswar last night due to poor weather conditions. Despite improvements in weather, passengers remained stuck at the airport for over 12 hours, unable to reach their destination.

Frustration peaked as over 25 passengers gathered at the airport gates, expressing their discontent over the prolonged delays.
