Bhubaneswar, Jun 16: A violent attack over a parking dispute in Rasulgarh industrial area left businessman Tapan Kumar Swain critically injured. The Sahid Nagar police swiftly arrested seven accused linked to the assault.
The attack occurred when Swain was confronted over a parking issue. The accused, identified as Bikash Rout (Bubu), Prakash Das (Babu), Debi Prasad Barik (Vicky), Sudhir Kumar Routray, Purna Chandra Sial, Rakesh Kumar Sahu, and Ratnakar Behera, allegedly assaulted him using iron pipes.
Eyewitnesses reported that the group attacked Swain mercilessly, leaving him with severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Police Action & Investigation
Following the attack, the Sahid Nagar police launched a swift operation, leading to the arrest of all seven accused. The suspects hail from Rasulgarh, Jajpur, Balasore, and Puri regions. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack and whether it was premeditated.
