Jajpur, Mar 19: Forest officials rescued a live Pangolin following a raid in Sukinda area in Odisha's Jajpur district on Tuesday and arrested two poachers in this connection.
The wildlife criminals have been identified as Chaitanya Bindhani and Sanatan Bindhani.
Acting on a tip-off, Forest officials of Sukinda Forest Division today conducted a raid near Kalinganagar Gabarghat road and rescued the Pangolin from the clutches of two poachers.
“The officials recovered a live Pangolin along with other incriminating material from the possession of the accused duo, who could not produce any documents to show by what authority they possessed the Pangolin. The accused duo were apprehended soon after that,” said an official.

✨A case under various sections of IPC and the WildLife (Protection) Act, 1972 has been registered against the accused duo in this regard.
Later, the accused duo were produced before a court in Sukinda.
