Bhubaneswar, Mar 30: The Odisha Vigilance department Sunday arrested Debasis Sahoo, Assistant Project Manager, Orissa Water Supply & Swerage Board (OWSSB), Bhubaneswar, for possessing disproportionate assets.

A case No.4/2025 has been registered against the accused Debasis Sahoo, and the accused officer was forwarded to the Court.

Acting on allegations against the officer, searches were conducted on properties of Debasis Sahoo on March 29. 

The searches were conducted at multiple locations linked to Sahoo, including premises in Bhubaneswar, Jatni, and Cuttack.

During the search, Sahoo was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 3 multi storeyed buildings & 2 shops in a market complex at Jatni, 2 high value plots in Jatni, gold ornaments approx 200 gms, deposits over Rs.56 lakhs, cash Rs.1.57 lakhs, etc, which he could not explain satisfactorily.

Following this, the anti-corruption wing arrested Sahoo on charges of corruption.
