Bhubaneswar, Sep 14: More than 35 people sustained injuries after the bus they were travelling in overturned near Jamusahi Chhak under the jurisdiction of Banigochha Police Station.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the bus was en route from Bhubaneswar to Balangir. Meanwhile, the bus attempted to sidestep a goods-laden truck. During this, the driver lost control over the wheels, resulting in the vehicle flipping over.

Following the incident, the conductor sustained serious injuries, while at least five passengers suffered minor wounds.

Emergency response teams from Banigochha Police and Dashapalla Fire Services swiftly arrived the scene and rescued all passengers trapped inside the overturned vehicle.

Later, the passengers were safely transferred to another bus and sent onward to Balangir. Authorities have confirmed that no fatalities occurred, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
