Over 11,000 Destitute Women Identified In Odisha: Deputy CM

Bhubaneswar, Mar 29: At least 11,598 destitute women have been identified across the state, informed Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida in Odisha Assembly.
Among the districts, Balangir has reported the highest number, with 3,729 women in need of assistance, said the Deputy CM.
Taking serious note in increase in such numbers, the Odisha government has initiated livelihood and skill development training programs for affected women, added the Deputy CM.
In a written response to a question raised by BJP MLA Om Prakash Mishra in the state assembly, the Deputy CM assured that efforts are being made to equip these women with vocational skills, enabling them to become financially independent and reintegrate into society with dignity.
