Puri, Nov 27: Over a lakh of devotees had Darshan of the Trinity- Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath, and Devi Subhadra- in Rajarajeswar Besa, also known as Suna Besha, in Shreemandir here on the occasion of Kartika Purnima today.
The deities gave Darshan to devotees throughout the last night.
Thousands of Habishyalis, who were observing Kartika Brata, concluded their month-long puja after taking a holy dip in five Tirtha ponds, which include Markendaya Puskarani, Shwetaganga Puskarani and the Puri sea.
Devotees too floated paper boats by chanting Aa Kaa Maa Bai to mark the maritime trade of Odisha.

Over 50 platoons of police forces and 200 officers were deployed for the smooth conduct of Kartika Purnima.
Among notable persons, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra participated in the age-old tradition of Utkal. "I am lucky that I floated boats at Puri Beach and Narendra Puskarani," said Patra.
