Cuttack, Aug 5: Bhejipada school Headmaster Prashant Khamari, who was arrested by the Crime Branch in connection with the OTET question paper leak case, has been placed under suspension by the District Education Department.
On July 30, the Crime Branch had picked Khamari from his school in Sadar Block after preliminary investigations revealed his alleged involvement in the leak of confidential examination materials.
According to officials, Khamari played a key role in translating the leaked question papers from English to Odia and was responsible for the viral copies that circulated on social media.
Further probe revealed that Khamari had collected money from failed candidates and transferred Rs 99,000 via UPI to another accused, Bijay Kumar Mishra.
