Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Main Written Examination 2025 will not be postponed despite the ongoing flood situation in southern Odisha, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said on Friday.
Addressing concerns raised by aspirants seeking postponement of the examination due to the floods, Pujari said rescheduling the examination could delay it by nearly six months.
"Once the examination is postponed, it could take around six months to conduct it again. We have assessed that around 325 candidates are from Ganjam, while approximately 100 others are from other affected areas. It is the government's responsibility to ensure that they reach their examination centres. Instructions have been issued to the Block Development Officers (BDOs) to take the candidates to their respective examination centres," the minister said.
Some OPSC aspirants had demanded that the examination be postponed in view of the severe flooding in southern Odisha following Cyclone Arnab.
