According to officials, more than 400 houses have already been demolished over the past two days. Authorities have set up control rooms jointly managed by BMC and the police to assist residents and monitor the situation. The demolition is being carried out under strict law and order arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents. Police personnel have been deployed in large numbers to ensure smooth execution of the operation.

The eviction drive in Salia Sahi is part of a broader urban development and rehabilitation plan aimed at reclaiming encroached land and facilitating infrastructure projects. Officials emphasized that the operation is being conducted with sensitivity, ensuring that affected families are provided necessary support and guidance.

On Wednesday, over 400 houses were razed, and Thursday’s target is to complete the demolition of the remaining structures. The coordinated effort by multiple departments highlights the government’s determination to enforce urban planning regulations and create space for future development projects.
