Argus News - Online Registration For Habisyali Brata To Start From September 19

Puri, Sep 15: As the sacred Kartik month approaches, the Puri district administration is all set to launch the online registration process for Habisyalis.

According to the official announcement, registrations will commence on September 19, 2025 at 10 AM via the edistrict.odisha.gov.in portal.

Registration is mandatory and will continue until the target number of 2,500 participants is met, read the notification.

The Kartika Brata will begin on October 7, 2025, and the government will provide free accommodation, Mahaprasad, and other facilities for the registered devotees, it added.

The registered Habisyalis will undergo a medical examination before accommodation. The devotees suffering from illness will not be allowed for the month-long penance under the government scheme, the notification further stated.

What to Expect

Habisyalis will be accommodated in facilities including Brundabati Bhawan and other buildings.
