Boudh, Feb 4: In a series of road incidents, a woman was killed and two persons sustained critical injuries, one of them critically, in Boudh district early Tuesday morning.
According to the information, the accident occurred at Champapur Square on the National Highway and was committed by an NH car. The vehicle hit as many as seven motorcycles back to back and skidded off the road.
In the accident, a woman, identified as Satyabhama Meher, was killed, and two persons were injured. One of the two injured persons has been shifted to the district headquarters hospital given his critical condition.

Tension ran high as locals staged a road blockade by burning tyres on the NH. Police personnel from the Boudh Model police station rushed to the spot and tried to placate the angry mob.
