One Killed As Bus Rams Into Truck In Odisha's Ganjam

Ganjam, Aug 15: At least one person was killed while several others sustained injuries after the bus they were travelling in rammed into a truck near Rambha in Ganjam district late last night.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the private bus named 'Saibaba' carrying around 30 passengers was enroute to Cuttack from Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, the driver lost control over the wheels rammed the vehicle into the truck.
While one person died on the spot, the health condition of 10 persons are stated to be critical. They are reportedly undergoing treatment at district headquarters hospital.
On the other hand, persons with minor injuries have been shifted to Rambha health centre.
However, the exact cause behind the incident was not known immediately. Preliminary report suggest that the accident might have happened over the negligence of driver.
While the driver of the vehicle fled the spot, the conductor has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
