Cuttack, May 18: A tragic incident unfolded near CDA Biren Mitra Park, where a young engineer drowned and another went missing while bathing in the Kathajodi River today.

The search for the second victim was on. The deceased has been identified as Ratik Bhanje (24) and the missing as Rutikesh Matal (25), both engineers working in the expansion unit of the SCB Medical College.

Reports indicate that they, along with two other colleagues, had gone to the river for a bath when disaster struck. Local authorities and fire and rescue teams have been deployed to locate the missing individual.
