As per reports, as the Opposition BJD observed its 28th Foundation Day today, thousands of party leaders and workers from across the state assembled at the party’s state headquarters 'Sankha Bhawan' in the city.
The event took an unexpected turn when a group of women workers stormed the stage and started a verbal tirade against the BJD leadership in the presence of party president and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Amid the chaos, a senior party worker was seen slapping Ipsita Sahoo on her face. The video clip of the incident went viral on social media.

✨BJD president Patnaik, while addressing the party workers today, admitted that his party had made a mistake by failing to counter the “negative campaign, and false narratives” of the BJP on social media during the election campaign.
Patnaik also urged party workers to remain active on social media and respond effectively to "BJP's false campaigns and narratives".
