Bhubaneswar, Nov 20: Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has
once again demonstrated its leadership in safe and sustainable mining practices
by securing five prestigious honours at the 16th National Safety Conclave 2025,
officials said on Thursday.
Organised by the Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services
(IQEMS), the conclave recognised OMC’s outstanding performance in operational
safety and innovation.
The awards were presented by the Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly and MLA, Ranpur, Surama Padhy, in a ceremony held in Bhubaneswar. OMC’s mines received accolades across multiple categories, underscoring the corporation’s unwavering commitment to safety excellence:
- Roida C Iron & Manganese Mines – Platinum Award
- Kodingamali Bauxite Mines – Platinum Award
- Guali Iron Ore Mines – Gold Award
- Tiringpahar Iron Ore Mines – Gold Award
- Ampavalli Limestone Mines – Gold Award
The Kalinga Safety Excellence Awards are among the most
respected recognitions in Odisha’s mining and industrial sectors. OMC’s
emphasis on prevention-led practices, digital innovation, and workforce
empowerment stood out this year.
