One of the key highlights has been the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), ensuring a modern and inclusive approach to learning.
In a bid to strengthen early childhood education, the government has launched ‘Shishu Vatika’, providing young learners with a structured and engaging learning environment.
Moreover, the PM SHRI Schools initiative has added a new dimension to Odisha’s education system. As part of the scheme, thousands of students are now benefiting from enhanced facilities, innovative teaching methods, and improved learning outcomes.

To further support economically weaker students, the ‘Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Yojana’ has been introduced, providing necessary financial aid to deserving children, thereby reducing dropout rates and increasing accessibility to education.
These efforts have not gone unnoticed, with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan commending Odisha’s commitment to educational transformation.
Looking ahead, the School and Mass Education Minister, Nityananda Gond, has announced plans to establish 300 more PM SHRI Schools, reinforcing the state’s dedication to education excellence.
