Bhubaneswar, May 17: In a remarkable achievement, Odia mountaineer Madhusmita Patra, received a grand welcome at Bhubaneswar airport today as she returns home after successfully scaling Mt Lobuche in Nepal, which stands at an altitude of over 6,000 meters.

Upon her arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport, Madhusmita was warmly welcomed by her family members and coach, who celebrated her incredible feat. Her accomplishment highlights her dedication to mountaineering and her ability to conquer extreme conditions.

Despite the difficulties faced during the expedition, Madhusmita remains committed to her future goals. She aims to continue her journey in mountaineering, aspiring to reach the Seven Summits, the highest peaks on each continent. With continued support from government and private organizations, she hopes to achieve even greater milestones in the world of adventure sports.

Madhusmita is a trained mountaineer, who underwent a professional course in 2022 at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) in Darjeeling. In the past, she has scaled highest peak in the African continent, Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Renak, Chadar, and Kedarkant.
