Odisha's Industrial Renaissance: 13 MoUs Signed Today

Key Points

Odisha secures landmark MOUs promising economic and industrial transformation.

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi, Apr 8: In an event that highlights Odisha's rapid march towards industrial prosperity, the state government signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth nearly a staggering ₹1 lakh crore – ₹96,686 crore at the Odisha Investors Meet.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi hailed this achievement as a transformative milestone for Odisha, describing it as a day of great fortune for the state.

The partnership agreements included major players like the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) under the Central Government's Petroleum Ministry, alongside 13 other renowned companies. These MoUs span across industries including textiles, IT, logistics, and petrochemicals — promising robust growth and job creation in the state.

Notably, the Make in Odisha 2025 conclave has already seen 145 companies establish agreements, paving the way for enhanced industrial cooperation.

CM Majhi emphasised that these collaborations provide Odisha with a unique momentum and predicted that the state would emerge as a national leader in driving economic growth. He noted that this initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a prosperous and industrially independent India.

This development is anticipated to attract more companies to Odisha in the future, consolidating its reputation as an industrial hub. As Odisha progresses under the Double Engine Government, hopes are high for the state's significant contribution to India’s economic transformation.
