Bhubaneswar, Aug 26: In a landmark move to enhance governance and citizen engagement, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi officially launched the Ama Shasana initiative at Lok Seva Bhavan on Tuesday.
The program aims to establish a direct, technology-enabled interface between the government and the people, ensuring faster and more transparent delivery of public services.
Built on the framework of the earlier Mo Sarkar initiative, ‘Ama Shasan’ introduces a robust communication system that leverages multiple digital platforms to connect citizens with administrative authorities.
The system includes a toll-free helpline (14471), a WhatsApp chat service (7400221903), and a dedicated website with chatbot support at amashasan.odisha.gov.in.

During the launch event, the Chief Minister interacted virtually with district administrations and citizens across Odisha, emphasizing the government’s commitment to responsive and accountable governance.
He highlighted that ‘Ama Shasana’ will empower people by giving them a direct channel to voice concerns, seek assistance, and provide feedback on public services.
The initiative is expected to streamline grievance redressal, improve service delivery, and foster a culture of transparency. Ministers and senior officials from various departments were present at the event, marking a unified push toward digital governance.
