Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: Odisha’s integrated public mobility platform, Odisha Yatri, has marked a major milestone by completing over 5 lakh trips across the state, officials said on Tuesday.

Emerging as the fastest-growing ride-hailing and public mobility application in Odisha, the platform continues to gain strong traction among commuters and drivers alike.

Rapid Growth

Since its launch, Odisha Yatri has recorded more than 28 lakh ride searches, highlighting rising commuter engagement across major cities. With over 3.1 lakh registered users and a growing network of 15,000 onboard drivers, the platform boasts one of the highest driver acceptance rates in India—above 90 percent. This has led to quicker pickups, minimal cancellations, and a smoother travel experience for passengers.

Empowering Drivers

The app has already generated around Rs7.5 crore in driver earnings through its transparent fare system and zero-commission model. This initiative is helping thousands of drivers secure stable daily incomes while enhancing transparency and trust in the urban transport ecosystem. The high acceptance rate ensures reliable rides for passengers while promoting sustainability in driver earnings.

Digital Ticketing Push

Building on its success, Odisha Yatri is expanding into public transport with the introduction of QR-based digital ticketing for the Ama Bus service. The initiative aims for 50 percent digital ticket adoption within the next 3–4 months, reducing operational leakage and providing commuters with a paperless, seamless ticketing experience.

Government’s Vision

According to Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department, Odisha Yatri showcases the state government’s commitment to smart, modern, and inclusive transportation for every citizen. Plans are underway to extend the platform’s footprint across more cities, vehicle types, and integrated services.

Future Goals
As Odisha strengthens its position as a leader in digital governance and citizen services, Odisha Yatri envisions becoming the state’s unified mobility super app—integrating autos, cabs, buses, tourist transport, and future mobility solutions under a single platform. With strong momentum, it targets 10 lakh completed trips by March 2026, marking a new era of smart, sustainable travel across the state.
