Argus News - Odisha Woman Duped of Rs 500 by Online Shopping Delivery Boy

Cuttack, Jan 16 :  A woman in Odisha's Cuttack district was duped of Rs 500 by an online shopping delivery boy. The incident took place in Purusottampur village under the Sathavamapur gram panchayat in Cuttack district.

The delivery boy arrived at the woman's house with a parcel from Meesho online shopping. The woman Priyadarshini, had not placed the order, but she assumed that her children had done so and accepted the parcel. She paid the delivery boy Rs 500. When Priyadarshani opened the parcel, she found that it contained old clothes. She tried to stop the delivery boy from leaving.

When the media arrived at her house, the delivery boy was forced to return the money. Priyadarshini said that she was shocked by the incident. She urged the police to take action against the delivery boy and prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
