Odisha Visit, Day 2: Union Minister Pradhan Participates In Cleanliness Drive At Sambalpur

Bhubaneswar/Sambalpur, Feb 24: On his second day of his visit to Odisha, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is scheduled to attend various programmes in Sambalpur, Monday.

Among the host of events, Union Minister Pradhan has participated in the cleanliness drive under Swachhata Abhiyan campaign.

Later, he is scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed computer lab of Saraswati Shishu Mandir at Siddheswar Berna.

The Union Education Minister will launch the scholarship programme for orphan children under Mission Vatsalya Yojana at Tapaswini Hall in Sambalpur town.

The Prime Minister will release the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana to the farmers later in the day. On this occasion, the Union Education Minister will join the event through video conferencing, while attending a special programme at the Gangadhar Meher University.

In the afternoon, Union Minister Pradhan is scheduled to participate in the 13th All India Sambalpur Football Tournament at Veer Surendra Sai Stadium.

The Union Education Minister will also inaugurate the first floor of the Sambadika Bhawan, which has been built for the Sambalpur District Journalists’ Union. He is also scheduled to attend other programmes in Sambalpur.

Odisha Visit, Day 1: At A Glance


Union Minister Pradhan had visited various temples Sunday in Angul and Dhenkanal and offered prayers.

Pradhan visited the Banadurga Temple at Hindol in Dhenkanal district. “Maa Banadurga is the live deity and a symbol of faith and hope,” he stated.
The Union Education Minister also visited the Sri Sri Durga Madhab Temple and Shanishwar Temple at the Talamula in the Baanarpal area and sought blessings.

He also attended a host of events on the opening day of his Odisha visit.
