Angul, Apr 16: The sleuths of Odisha Vigilance department Wednesday launched raids on the properties of an Assistant Executive Engineer of Athmallick Block on allegations of disproportionate assets.

The anti-corruption agency launched simultaneous searches at nine locations linked to Assistant Executive Engineer Ramachandra Satpathy and his relatives’.

The anti-corruption team led by a team of seven DSPs, 15 Inspectors, and other supporting staff launched the search operations at officers residence in Gayatri Nagar, Dhenkanal, his government quarters in Athmallick, his office at the Panchayat Samiti in Athmallick, his ancestral home in Banasingh, Dhenkanal, and properties linked to his daughters in Bhawanipatna, Junagarh, and Dharmagarh.

The raids aim to uncover assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The search operations are currently underway and further details are awaited in this matter.
