Bhubaneswar, May 23: The Odisha vigilance launched simultaneous raids at properties and offices of a Junior Engineer (JE), Roads and Buildings Division (R&B) Khariar under Nuapada district.

According to reports, the anti-corruption wing raided eight place linked to accused officer Susanta Kumar Sethy. The vigilance team conducted searches across multiple properties, including residences, offices, and farms in Bhubaneswar, Pipili, and Nuapada.

The operation involves a dedicated force of seven DSPs, three inspectors, and ten ASIs, meticulously combing through financial records and property ownership documents. Officials are focusing on key assets, including a three-story house in Bhubaneswar’s Gangotri Nagar, an under-construction villa, and properties linked to associates in Kedara Lane and Garage Square.

Authorities believe the raids could unveil crucial evidence supporting corruption charges. Vigilance officials have assured a transparent investigation and further legal actions based on their findings.

With corruption remaining a pressing concern, experts emphasize the need for stricter accountability and governance reforms to ensure ethical financial practices in public service.
