Rayagada, Jan 25: In a tragic mishap, two men lost their lives after a trail train engine hit them near Debadalaguda, between Rayagada and Singhpur railway stations late on last night.

The deceased belonged to Debadalguda village in Rayagada district.

As per reports, the deceased were sitting on the third railway track which is being laid between Rayagada and Koraput when a trial rail engine hit them near Singhpur killing them on the spot.

Tension prevailed in the area following their deaths as hundreds of local villagers demonstrated at the spot demanding compensation for the families of the deceased.
