Odisha will host the seventh Odisha Travel Bazaar from October 3-5 in Bhubaneswar, bringing together global tour operators, buyers and sellers. The event aims to boost tourism, attract investments, promote destinations across 30 districts, and strengthen Odisha’s position in international tourism markets.

Bhubaneswar, Oct 1: Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) 2026 is expected to attract leading tour operators from across the globe and provide a major boost to the State's tourism sector, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Thursday.

The seventh edition of the flagship tourism event will be held from October 3 to 5 at Mayfair Sanctuary in Bhubaneswar, bringing together international buyers, sellers and industry stakeholders to explore Odisha's growing tourism potential.

Unveiling the roadmap for the three-day event at a pre-event press conference, the Deputy Chief Minister said the tourism conclave would serve as a key platform to showcase Odisha's rich heritage, culture, natural beauty and hospitality to international stakeholders.
Sharing details of the event, Parida said Odisha Travel Bazaar 2026 is aimed at strengthening the State’s presence in global tourism markets while creating new business opportunities for tourism-related industries.

In a social media post, the Deputy Chief Minister described the event as an important forum that would help take Odisha’s tourism potential to the world and promote its unique blend of history, culture, biodiversity and traditions.

Representatives from tour operators' associations, hotel bodies and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) were present at the press conference.

According to the organisers, the event will witness participation from 45 leading tour operators from 27 countries, alongside more than 200 national and international buyers and sellers. The State government has set a target of facilitating nearly 6,000 business-to-business (B2B) meetings during the event.

Officials expressed optimism that this year's edition would record nearly 50% growth compared to the previous edition.

The government has identified several priority areas for promotion, including the showcasing of tourism destinations across all 30 districts under the Odisha Tourism Places (OTP) initiative, promotion of temple wedding destinations, and support for tourism startups and emerging entrepreneurs.

The government's objective, she added, is to convert this potential into economic opportunities, sustainable development and employment generation.

The event will also feature renowned chef and Odisha Tourism brand ambassador Ranveer Brar, who is expected to highlight the State's tourism and culinary strengths before national and international audiences.

Calling for collective efforts to strengthen the Odisha Tourism brand, Parida said Odisha was ready to showcase its blend of development and heritage to the world through the travel bazaar.
