Bhubaneswar, Sep 4: In a landmark move to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17, the Odisha government will distribute housing sanctions to 50,000 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Gruha Yojana.
Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik confirmed that the initiative aligns with the broader goal of inclusive development and housing for all.
The decision follows high-level consultations between state and central officials, ensuring that all procedural formalities will be completed by November. The housing sanctions will be issued under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), which aims to provide pucca houses to economically weaker sections across rural Odisha.

The scrutiny process is underway, and final decisions will be made on time, said Minister Naik.
