Bhubaneswar, Mar 7: Even though there will be no change in temperature in the coming two days, mercury is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the State in the next few days.

The temperature in all districts of Odisha will increase from Sunday, according to the prediction of the India Meteorological Department. The IMD predicted the sky would remain clear in Bhubaneswar during the next 24 hours. The maximum temperature will be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum 16 degrees Celsius.

Recording 36.8 degrees Celsius, Paralakhemundi was the hottest city in the state on Thursday. It was followed by Jharsuguda, which recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius. As many as eight cities recorded daytime mercury above 35 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures fell slightly on Wednesday as compared to Thursday. Malkangiri recorded 35.4 degrees Celsius, Jajpur 35.2 degrees Celsius, and Nuapada, Khordha, and Kendrapara 35 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Bhubaneswar was 34.4 degrees Celsius. Angul recorded 34.7 degrees Celsius, Sambalpur 34 degrees Celsius, Bolangir 34.4 degrees Celsius, Koraput 34.2 degrees Celsius, Sonepur 34.1 degrees Celsius, Nayagarh 34 degrees Celsius, Bhadrak 34 degrees Celsius, and Bargarh 34.7 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours.
