Odisha: Suresh Mahapatra Appointed Chief Adviser To CMO

Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: Former Chief Secretary and Chairperson of Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC), Suresh Chandra Mahapatra has been appointed as Chief Adviser to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), officials said on Friday.
According to a release from CMO, Suresh Mohapatra, a 1986-batch retired IAS officer, has been allowed to relinquish the post of OERC Chairperson on his request.
Suresh Mahapatra took over as Chief Secretary of Odisha government in December 2020.

✨R Balakrishnan was relieved as chief advisor to CMO. However, he will continue as Chief Adviser, Special Initiatives, in the rank of Chief Secretary, the statement said.
